Many of us are adopting pets which become our family members from day one. We all want to do everything for the health of our pets. Most pets nowadays are dogs. We are very enthusiastic about adopting dogs but have less knowledge about taking care of them.

We need to have a proper knowledge of what we are putting in our dogs’ mouth. Do not get emotional and give them anything that you are eating. You need to keep track of their protein intake. They should get proper nutrients and vitamins which are good for their bone health. And for that you do not have to go for any fancy item, you can get these products from your kitchen.

Include these things in your pets’ diet:

Chia seeds

Not only for humans but also for your pets, chia seeds are really good. Chia seeds are rich in protein, fiber, antioxidants, calcium, iron, magnesium, B vitamins, and Omega 3 fatty acids. This will immune your pets health. It will contribute to the bone health and skin coat of your dog. Sprinkle some chia seeds on the fresh moist food of your dog.

Leafy vegetables

Everyone knows vegetables are a must for good health. It has similar benefits for your dog. These dark colour vegetables are rich phytonutrients, which gives antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities to your pet. The green leafy vegetables provide them with calcium, iron, potassium, and vitamins A, C, and K. It also contains a lot of fiber which is good for them. Include green vegetable in the regular food for your pet.

Turmeric

We all know turmeric for its curcumin which is present in it. It has myriad health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. We all have been using turmeric for ages and enjoying its benefits. Your dog can have same benefits from the turmeric. You do not have to add the ground turmeric directly instead boil it in water and make a paste of it. Then add the paste in the regular food of your pet while serving it.

Pumpkin

Like other orange vegetables pumpkin is also good for your dog’s health which you can include in its diet. Pumpkin is rich in beta carotene. It supports your dog’s eye health, skin coat and overall health.

Yogurt

Yogurt improves gut health which actually impacts the overall health of your dogs. It is known for beneficial probiotics. Also a good source of protein for your dogs health.
