Stairs of Sector 4 market becomes life threatening, Naked wires major concern

Dwarka: The stairs in various shops situated at Sector 4 market, Dwarka have become life threatening these days. Naked electric wires and ‘erected’ high voltage wires coming out from the ground or from the stair walls can be seen. One can see high voltage wire in an arc form in one of the stair ways in the market. This seems a makeshift arrangement to supply power to some shops.

CitySpidey visited the market and took some photographs of the ‘accident-prone stairs’ so that the attention of the authority and the community could be attracted. An  electrical engineer said on the condition of anonymity, “These wires can be dangerous and authorities must swing into action immediately to avoid any untoward incident.”

These stairs are telling the story of the negligent of the civic body as numerous joints can be seen taped and they’re partially naked too. Apart from that the fittings and fuses are also on the walls in such a way that anyone could get hurt if he/she is not aware.

The stairs are narrow and such wires are inviting danger to the people who use them. CitySpidey’s endeavour is to draw attention of the concerned civic body to look into the matter and do the needful.
