New Delhi: Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that the schools will continue to remain closed in Delhi. He said, “The schools are unlikely to open till we get some vaccines.”
The schools have been closed in the national capital since March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Delhi government has decided not to open schools even after the Centre allowed reopening of schools for classes IX to XII.
On October 30, Sisodia had announced that schools would remain closed till further orders.
Schools were closed across the nation when the lockdown was imposed on March 25. However, in the Unlock 5.0 guidelines, states were allowed to take a call on reopening the schools in phases.
