Delhi witnesses steep drop in minimum temperature

New Delhi: Delhi on Monday witnessed a massive drop in temperature as compared to the last two days. As per the India Meteorological Department, it is expected to go down further by Thursday and Friday. 

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degree Celsius, down from 11.4 degree Celsius on Sunday and 14.4 degree Celsius on Saturday.

According to the IMD, the temperature has dropped by six notches as compared to Saturday.

Moreover, minimum temperature is expected to drop by 3-5 degree Celsius over most parts of northwest India during the next four days till Friday.

The Safdarjung Observatory, which provides the representative data for Delhi, recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degree Celsius, according to the data provided by the weather forecasting agency.

The IMD said that the temperature will drop further on December 17-18. There will be shallow fog and clear sky. There is no forecast of rains in the coming days.
