Ghaziabad: Vaccination Camp organised in Angel Mercury, Indirapuram

Ghaziabad: On December 7, 2021 a Covid-19 vaccination camp was organised in Angel Mercury Society, Indirapuram. The vaccination was held between 3 pm to 5 pm at the party hall of the society. Around 60 people got vaccinated at the camp. Both first and second doses of the Covieshield vaccine were administered as per requirement. The camp was open to the general public and the members of all neighboring housing societies.

The Federation of Apartment Owners Association has circulated a guideline for the societies according to which the entry of visitors who are not fully vaccinated would be prohibited in near future.

This camp was organised by the health department of Ghaziabad in association with the Resident Welfare Association of the Angel Mercury Society and some other RWAs of the area. Fear of the new Covid variant, Omicron is lingering among residents. Six people have been found Covid positive in this month in the city. Out of these six, three came from the places where omicron is active. The samples of all these three patients have been sent to Lucknow for Genome Sequencing.

Avneesh Kumar, President of AOA, Angel Mercury said, “We organised a vaccination camp in our society. There are so many domestic service providers that come into our society regularly. We got information that around fifty among them are not vaccinated so far. This vaccination is specially organised for them. Among the residents of society, almost everyone is vaccinated with both doses. Soon, 'Not fully Vaccinated - No entry' will be applied in the society.”

Puja Devi, a domestic help who comes into the society says, “We are grateful for the AOA of the society who organized this vaccination camp. I and my husband took the second dose. It was a well-orgainised camp."
