2,154 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate at 5.91 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Monday recorded 2,154 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 3,33,171. The number of new cases reported came out of 36,445 tests conducted on the previous day.
Delhi recorded 3,299 new cases on Sunday, 3,259 on Saturday, 3,428 on Friday, 3,483 on Thursday, 3,324 on Wednesday and 3,036 on Tuesday.
36,445 tests were conducted, of which 10,765 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 25,680 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 5.91 per cent.
Delhi on Monday reported 31 deaths due to coronavirus, taking the death toll to 6,040. 28 deaths were reported on Sunday, 35 on Saturday, 22 on Friday, 26 on Thursday, 44 on Wednesday and 45 on Tuesday.
2,845 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 3,04,561 in the national capital. The recovery rate slightly increased to 91.41 from 91.14 per cent on the previous day.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by a significant margin on Monday. It affected the active cases count positively. Active cases declined by 722 in the city. Delhi has now 22,570 active cases.
The number of people in home isolation is 14,164. Out of the total number of 15,704 beds in Covid hospitals, 10,640 are vacant.
