New Delhi: Delhi on Thursday reported 5,475 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,51,262. The number of new cases reported came out of 63,266 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 28,897 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 34,369 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 8.65 per cent.
91 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,811. 99 deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 109 on Tuesday, 121 on Monday, 121 on Sunday and 111 on Saturday.
4,937 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,03,717 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 91.37 per cent.
The new cases outnumbered the recoveries on Thursday. Active cases increased by 447 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 38,734 active cases.
Out of the total 18,252 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 9,143 are vacant. The total number of containment zones is 5,156 in the national capital.
