Greater Noida: An incident of plaster falling from the ceiling has given nightmares to the residents of Shri Radha Sky Garden, a group housing society, in Greater Noida West. On Monday night, 21 March 2022 ceiling plaster fell on the bed of the master bedroom of flat no. 202, tower T-12. Fortunately, the residents escaped unhurt.
Earlier, on March 21, 2022, the residents of the society had raised the issue of poor infrastructure of the society. The incident took place at bout 9.30 pm. Mukut Singh, owner of the flat shared that his tenant's mother narrowly escaped as she was lying on her bed. After the incident, the people concerned are in shock.
Singh says, “When this construction started, we had also informed the operating members about this poor construction quality. For which a report dated 2 December 2014 concerning this poor construction quality was submitted. Some videos were also submitted as evidence but no one took it seriously. Those videos and reports are still available with me. I fear that a major accident can happen here anytime putting lives in danger.”
Gaurav Patel, a resident of the society says, “It is a serious issue. For the last 8 months, we have been raising the issue of plaster falling. A senior citizen escaped from this incident. The Greater Noida Authority should take it seriously. The issue of bad infrastructure is not only one society. We are praying that the building will not fall like this plaster.”
