This Republic Day, the management committee of Parsvnath Prestige in Sector 93A, Noida, will be inaugurating its remote surveillance system of 110 CCTV cameras installed in the society.

The cameras have been strategically placed for maximum surveillance — at the entry gate, along the walking tracks in the society, in the basement and in the car-parking lots.

"Even though we have sufficient security guards in our society, we can never be too careful when it comes to security," said Rajnish Nandan, president of the RWA.

At a meeting with the residents, Dinesh Yadav, SP City, Noida Police, had mooted the idea of mounting CCTV cameras, which would help the police identify culprits in case of crimes inside or near the society.

Residents welcomed the idea. The CCTV cameras will be monitored by the guards on duty. The society has also set up a control room for the surveillance system at the society’s club.

Pankaj Dwivedi, secretary of the management committee, said that video footage would make it a lot easier to nab culprits. He said that if need be, the footage could be shared with the police, which would result in curbing unlawful activities in and around the society.
